Featuring Jilamara artwork by an Australian Aboriginal artist, this beautifully hand-embroidered table runner celebrates the rich ceremonial traditions of the Tiwi Islands. During ceremony, a series of Yoi dances are performed, with participants painted using turtiyanginari (natural ochres). These designs transform and protect the dancers from mapurtiti (spirits) and are collectively known as Jilamara.
Handcrafted with intricate wool embroidery on a cotton canvas base, this striking table runner combines traditional cultural storytelling with contemporary home styling.
