Headsox are extremely thrilled to have this wonderful desert art design in our range which is a copy of a wood cut done by talented Wiluna Artist Andrew Harris.
Andrew was born in the Wheatbelt town of Merredin, where his parents worked as Station Hands. The family moved around the Goldfields and Murchison area, while Andrew attended school at Wiluna. He spent some time working on the Desert Gold and Emu Farms, and has been painting since the 1980’s. Andrew spends time with the younger generation teaching them life skills, to hunt and cook bush food, as well as giving advice on how to paint about their land. Andrew is an accomplished artist who produces a variety of work, selling successfully through the Tjukurba Art Gallery.
This unique indigenous desert art design done in a cave art drawing style depicts the handed down story of Emu dreaming.
