Warndu's Australian Native Fruit - Sunrise Lime is shaped like a small pear, with a tangy cumquat flavour, these limes are a stunning yellow colour and perfect in just about everything. The Australian Sunrise Lime is a hybrid of the finger lime and a calamondin (cross between a mandarin and cumquat) created by the CSIRO. It is similar to a kumquat in that the fruit can be eaten whole, as the pith and rind are sweet and the juice inside is tangy and fresh with a delicate floral note.
Sunrise lime packs a delicious citrus punch. Use in absolutely everything you would use citrus in. You can also blitz the chip into a fine powder. Keep stored in an airtight container away from direct sunlight to preserve flavour and colour.
Chips: Perfect as Garnish for cocktails or added to cooking - anywhere you would use preserved lemons and of course your favourite Applewood Gin and Tonic.
Products come in a resealable 50g bag - please note the chips will have some crushing during transport. The powder is still great over cocktails.
