The design also draws inspiration from Indigenous dot painting, with embossed dots running along the body of the form to create a pattern reminiscent of a spine or animal tracks. Each Coolamon is crafted using high-pressure water to form a smooth vessel before being pressed to create its distinctive texture and surface detailing.
Striking as a centrepiece or serving vessel, the Coolamon combines contemporary design with references to Australia's rich cultural heritage.
