Susan, a finalist in the 2013 Telstra Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards, is known for her distinctive style that combines influences from both Tiwi and Arnhem Land artistic traditions.
Raised in Maningrida, Susan learnt bark painting, weaving, and basket making from a young age. Her work reflects a lifetime of cultural practice and international recognition, including representing Munupi Arts in Paris in 1992.
