DESCRIPTION AKA Rajah Brooke's birdwing. Large butterfly with small metallic green triangle markings on wings. Butterflies are mainly found tropical rainforest habitats and feed on the flowers of Bauhinia trees and lantana. A beautiful blue sheen runs from the base of the wing upward meeting the metallic green halfway discally. named by the famous naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace in 1855 after James Brooke , the Rajah of Sarawak.
You won't be disappointed with this beautiful butterfly - it's just as glorious as the trojana.
