Designed for the Antarctica exhibition at the National Museum of Australia, this Polaris Sno-Traveller hat pin celebrates the specialised vehicles and equipment that have supported exploration, research, and travel across the Antarctic landscape.
The Antarctica exhibition was presented at the National Museum of Australia from 1 July to 11 October 2026, exploring more than 100 years of Australian experiences in Antarctica.
Visitors discovered rare artefacts from one of the world's largest Antarctic collections, encountered stories of early explorers and modern expeditioners, learned about life at Antarctic research stations including Mawson and Macquarie Island, and explored the remarkable wildlife, science, and technology that support Australia's presence on the frozen continent.
Through immersive displays and interactive experiences, the exhibition highlighted Australia's enduring connection to Antarctica and the importance of protecting this unique and fragile environment for future generations.
A distinctive keepsake commemorating the exhibition and celebrating the ingenuity, innovation, and spirit of Antarctic exploration.
