Featuring Hailstorm Dreaming artwork by Yilpi, this beautifully crafted serving board shares a powerful story passed down through generations. The artwork tells of Yilpi's grandfather, a young man who ignored the warnings of his Elders about an approaching storm. Venturing out to hunt and perform a ceremonial dance to ward off the weather, he never returned.
After the storm had passed, family members searched for him without success. It was only later that children gathering bush foods and swimming in newly filled rockholes discovered his body. This important story is shared with younger generations as a reminder of the value of listening to Elders and respecting their knowledge.
Made from certified sustainable acacia wood, this artisanal piece combines meaningful cultural storytelling with practical functionality, making it an ideal addition to any home.
