The Terra Firma platter is a unique swirl of handmade goodness with each one being completely unique created by the collision of glazes on the surface. The glaze colours are chosen to reflect the Australian landscape…bringing in sand, shell and grit. Hand wedged with a mixture grainy clays, the platter brings a rustic quality to your dining…full of tacticity and talking points! Made for sharing and telling stories by.
Each piece is individually made and size and markings may vary slightly which is of course the beauty of a functional artwork like this.
Made in Naarm/Melbourne, by hand
This handmade pottery is thrown on the potter’s wheel using Mid Fire clays. They are then individually glazed from Studio recipes with Eggshell, Crackle and Ash glaze to reflect the Australian landscape.
Fired to 1200degrees
