ALPINE SENCHA GREEN TEA — LOOSE LEAF TIN
A green tea that’s so moreish, we can’t help but shout its praises from the mountains. The Tea Centre is proud to include Alpine Sencha green tea in our Australian Botanical Tea collection, sourced from the most pristine place on earth…home. Just like the man, this tea from Snowy River (up the Victorian Alps side) is mountain bred and has the staying power to keep one in high spirits throughout a long day. A cuppa that’s best and boldest on its own through morning, noon, and night.
Alpine sencha flourishes among the Victorian Alps, where the growing conditions are similar to those in Japan’s sencha-producing regions. As a result, this loose leaf has the same classic green tea taste with a unique oceanic twist. We also pluck the loose leaves in the same fashion as its Japanese counterpart: only the buds and upper leaves make up this tea.
Like all green teas, this brew is antioxidant-rich. Studies suggest that catechins like EGCG may assist in shielding the body from a wide variety of health implications. In turn, drinking sencha can be a great support for holistic health and comfort.
