This 3.5cm tall Egyptian Horus is made from resin that is painted with an antique bronze finish. It is supplied with a full-colour information card that has an image of Horus from a tomb wall. There is also historical information which explains about the god Horus in ancient Egyptian times. The Horus and folded card are supplied in a clear box.
Horus was an Egyptian sky god in the form of a falcon whose right eye was the sun and his left eye the moon. According to myth, in a fight to defeat Setekh of Ombos, Horus’ moon eye was damaged and healed by the god Thoth. From then onwards the moon appeared at night in broken pieces.
