Rubber duck in the shape of an ancient Egyptian queen.
Inspired by the British Museum’s world-renowned collection of sculptures and artefacts from ancient Egypt, this majestic toy shows the Egyptian queen, Cleopatra, with her iconic heavy eye make-up and black wig, wearing an Egyptian-style headdress and necklace. It has been designed in collaboration with the Museum’s curators, ensuring that her costume is historically accurate.
Cleopatra was the last pharaoh of the Egyptian Ptolemaic kingdom. She was extremely politically adept, and has been remembered favourably by history for the way in which she ruled Egypt during her lifetime. After Cleopatra’s death, Egypt fell under the rule of the Roman Empire.
An history-inspired gift to bring a little fun to bath time!
