Inspired by the British Museum, a metal bookmark featuring some of ancient Egypt's famous hieroglyphs.
The hieroglyphic writing of ancient Egypt fascinated people for centuries until it was deciphered by Jean-François Champollion in the 19th century. This complex, picture-based script is featured on the bookmark in striking blue lettering, and spells out a request to the Egyptian god Osiris to bring life to the deceased. The large winged scarab at the top of the bookmark represents rebirth and new life.
Ideal as a culturally-inspired gift.
